10/12/2021:

Following a period of dry weather in November and difficulties we have faced in managing water levels we will be delaying the removal of the dams for this stoppage. This will allow us to ensure there is adequate water available along the length of the canal to minimise the impact of refilling this section. The revised date for this stoppage is now in line to finish with other stoppages on this waterway, navigation along the length will be restored by 16:00 hrs on Friday 17th December.

Description

A stoppage is required as the Off Side, Up Stream parapet separating, needs to be rebuilt and to repoint damaged sections of the parapet wall.

We will also be infiling the redundant sluice between bridge 58 and 57 with stone and clay.
