Please be advised that we are remaining cautious in our continued application of Covid protocol, particularly in regards to the confined environment of Standedge tunnel.
For the safety of our team and boaters we will continue with applying social distancing requirements, which will now be 1m, therefore the helming of private boats by a Trust team member will continue until further notice.
There may be situations where specific boat layouts would support our usual chaperoning procedure still fulfilling the 1m distancing between the boater and Trust team member. In these situations the decision to chaperone instead of helming is at the sole discretion of the Trust Team Member involved.

Due to increased demand for passages through the tunnel, and to reflect that we now have more
trained helmsmen, we have increased booking slots for customers to use.
