The footbridge at Lock 49, Barrowford Locks on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal will need to be replaced, however we have carried out temporary repairs and the bridge is now back in use.
The materials are on order to be able to replace the bridge at a later date.
Please be advised the footbridge at Lock 49, Barrowford Locks on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal is out of use awaiting repair.
The bridge has been fenced off and access can be obtained over Bridge 143, Barrowford Road Bridge.
We anticipate a repair will be carried out next month, April 2021. An update will be provided by 22 April.
