Derwent Mouth lock is open and navigation is now possible through this stretch. We apologise for the delay in publishing this information.

The section of the Upper Trent between Derwent Mouth Lock and Trent Lock is being effected by flooding on the River Soar and users of this stretch should proceed with caution.

Description

Due to the rising river level on the Trent, the Environment Agency have taken the decision to close the Derwent Mouth flood gates until further notice.

Whilst the EA gates are closed, navigation will not be possible between the Derwent Mouth flood gates and Shardlow Lock.

Some fluctuations in water level may occur between Shardlow Lock and Aston Lock, specifically around Willowbrook moorings.
