Repairs to Misterton Top Lock are now complete, therefore passage is now available through this Lock.

Repairs to the rotten heel post are currently being planned and are expected to commence on site the week commencing 12th October 2020.
Repairs are expected to take 1 week to complete, with an estimated canal re-opening the week commencing 19th October.
Once works commence on site we will provide a more accurate indication of a re-opening date for the lock.

Initial inspections by our Engineers have now taken place and indicate a failure of the heel post resulting from rotten timber.
Further more detailed investigations are now required and will take place over the coming days.
In the meantime the Lock gate is not deemed safe enough to operate and will therefore be closed until investigations have been completed by our Engineering Team.
This notice will be updated once those detailed investigations have concluded.
A further update will be provided on Friday 2nd October.
