Currently the lock remains closed and no boats can go through. We are still looking to see if we can do something to at least get the lock open to narrow beam.

The lock and gate have been made safe and engineers have been to site this morning. Unfortunately a repair isn't possible and new lock gates are required to be manufactured to enable this lock to be fully open.
Our construction teams are mobilising equipment to look to see if we can do something to at least get the lock open to narrow beam craft until the gates can be replaced. We will update this notice by Friday 24 July
