Please be advised our team will be onsite at Lock 8, River Lock on the Rufford Branch of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal to replace the flood gates and extend the lock ladder, amongst other necessary works.
These works will commence onsite on Wednesday, 8 July and will be complete by Monday, 20 July. We are taking advantage of what is termed as a natural stoppage, whereby the 'neap tides' at this location prevent the passage of boats on to the River Douglas.
Please keep your distance from other people and moored boats, where people may be living aboard and could be self-isolating or shielding.
