The water levels have improved and the navigation has reopened.

Water levels in the downstream section from Thornton Lock have improved.
The section after Thornton Lock to the River Derwent is open to navigation.
Thornton Lock still remains closed.
The navigation is only closed from Lock 1 to / and including Thornton Lock.

The navigation is still closed due to low water levels, once the water levels are back at a normal level the navigation will re-open and this notice will be updated.
