Please note, the towpath is closed between Lock 7 and Lock 8 on the Ribble Link. Lock 8 is not accessible by foot. A diversion for the Guild Wheel route is in place.

Description
Please be advised third-party contractors, working on behalf of Lancashire County Council, are onsite to construct a bridge over the Ribble Link as part of their Preston Western Distributor and East-West Link Road project.
The towpath is closed between Lock 7 and Lock 8 on the Ribble Link. A diversion route is in place.
Whilst we expect no delay to canal navigation, we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors onsite.
