Update - Twyford Lock is closed until further notice and we are monitoring the situation and we will reopen the lock as soon as practically possible.

Description
Following the long period of mainly dry weather, there are continued low flows of water from the River Stort feed. Therefore, we have had to take the difficult decision to close Twyford Lock with immediate effect until tomorrow morning to preserve water and to hopefully make up some of the level. Ashing of the gates is also being undertaken.
We are monitoring the situation and will review levels in the morning and will look at reopening the lock as soon as practically possible. Please be patient during this unprecedented time and contact us on 0303 040 4040 for local updates and further information.
