Contractors working on behalf of Northamptonshire County Council, carrying out brickwork repairs to the arch, elevations and parapets of the bridge, have requested the stoppage is delayed to allow them more time to mobilise the site after the Christmas break.
Northamptonshire Highways are undertaking extensive brickwork repairs to the arch, elevations and parapets of the bridge.
Their contractors (Kier Integrated Services) will be re-pointing and reinforcing the brickwork of the bridge, and will need to install fixed scaffolding across the navigation.
