Works to Lock 75 include repairs to the bottom gate cill, gate planking and chamber masonry. We will also be taking the opportunity presented by this closure to remove the damaged footbridge downstream of the lock.
The bridge will be transported off-site to be fully refurbished during the summer ready for repairs to the abutments and reinstallation of the bridge during Winter 2020.
Please be aware the towpath may need to be closed during the lifting of the bridge.
The dates for this closure are not affected.
