Please be aware, for safety reasons, Lock 1 of the Aylesbury Arm has been closed for the period of the stoppages at Lock 11 and Bridge 16. This is to prevent water being run down the Arm.
There will be no passage for boats in or out of the Arm during this time.
Description
The navigation will be dewatered in order to carry out extensive brickwork repairs to the arch of the bridge and below the water line on the abutments.
Works will also include repairs to the waterway wall and towpath where it has collapsed.
