Top Lock approach of Zouch

Due to the lock collar breaking and the bottom gate has dropped, we have had to temporarily close Zouch Lock as it is not currently operational.

It is the bottom off side gate which has been affected, but due to the extent of the damage, the whole lock is out of action.

The operations team is out on site now, making the site safe and our maintenance team have been informed. We are waiting for an update on when they can attend site to assess the damage and complete the required works. As soon as we have more information, we will update the website accordingly.

Description

During a recent inspection, we have noted that a section of the top lock approach at Zouch Lock is in poor repair and so as a precaution we have fenced it off.

The lock, lock approach and towpath are all open.
