Kier, on behalf of the Environment Agency have completed the works and the navigation is now open.

We have revised the start time and one of the winding holes.

Description

Kier, on behalf of the Environment Agency will be carrying out essential emergency maintenance works to their flood gates at Shardlow. This will include installing stop planks either side of the gates, draining the area and undertaking repairs to the gates.

The Navigation will be closed for the duration.

The Trust apologise for the short notice given and for closing the navigation but the issues with the flood gates have only recently come to light and the Environment Agency need to carry out this work as soon as possible.
