We are pleased that our contractors have been able to carry out repairs to the two large voids in the bed of the canal.Our contractors finished carrying out repairs yesterday, and we have been on site today with our engineers who have confirmed that the leakage from the embankment into neighbouring land has now stopped and the bed repair is holding.A much larger repair is being developed by our teams to provide a permanent fix for this issues we experience at this location at a later date

Our Engineers have now completed their investigations. We are in the process of starting to carry out repairs needed to re-open the canal. As part of these repairs, we need to completely de-water the canal and carry out a fish rescue which will take place tomorrow. Our contractor will then start an emergency repair to allow the canal to re-opened. While the canal is dewatered our engineers will take the opportunity to plan a permanent solution to be carried out at a later date.
