Bridge 14, Footbridge, Airfield Farm, Market Harborough Arm, Grand Union Canal

Third Party Contractors are closing the towpath between Bridge 13 and the Union Wharf at Market Harborough. They will be carrying out works to remove  the footbridge (Bridge14) and replacing it with a new road bridge crossing at the same location.

Due to the constraints at the location, the canal towpath will have to be closed for the duration of the works.

A diversion around the works will be put in place for pedestrians, from Bridge 13 along the B6047 to Union Wharf.

The Canal Navigation will remain open for the duration of the works although might be subject to short delays during critical elements of the bridge installation works.
