Kids go free at Crick this year

For the first time children aged 16 and under can visit the show for free on all three show days.

The annual event, which is Britain's biggest inland waterways festival with over 250 exhibitors from across the canal world, takes place at Crick Marina, near Daventry in Northamptonshire over the Whitsun May bank holiday weekend (28-30 May) .

Crick Boat Show offers a fantastic day out for all the family with live music, free boat trips, children's activities, a fun fair, dozens of boats to look round, boat handling taster sessions, a real ale marquee, and a large variety of food and drink stalls.

25,000 visitors

Organised by Waterways World in partnership with the Canal & River Trust and Crick Marina, the 2016 Show is expected to attract 25,000 visitors.

Crick Boat Show 2016 will be open from 10am till 6pm every day except Monday 30 May, when it closes at 5pm. Evening entertainment runs from 7.30pm to 11.30pm. This year's headline acts include '2-4-6-8 Motorway' singer, Tom Robinson and leading Blondie cover act Blondied. Ticket prices include entry to see the evening acts on the days booked.

One-day ticket prices start at £12 per adult if booked in advance, £15 on the day. All children aged 16 and under go free. Senior Citizens and concessions are £10.80 in advance, £13.50 on the day. Three-day tickets are also available for £23.20 per adult in advance, or £29 on the day. Senior citizens and concessions are priced at £20.80 in advance, £26 on the day. Advance tickets must be booked by 22 May.
