The charity making life better by water

Crick Boat Show details announced

The 15th Crick Boat Show & Waterways Festival will be held at Crick Marina near Daventry in Northamptonshire, 24-26 May 2014. The annual event, which attracts over 25,000 visitors, is organised by Waterways World in partnership with the Canal & River Trust and Crick Marina.

As well as showcasing the inland waterways industry with over 250 exhibitors from across the canal world, Crick Boat Show offers a fantastic day out for all the family. Entertainment includes boat trips, live music, a real ale marquee, free children's entertainment and a large variety of food and drink stalls.

Peter Johns, publisher of Waterways World and Show Director, says: “Following the success of our 2013 show, which attracted record visitor numbers, we are looking forward to welcoming people to our 2014 event. Crick Boat Show combines the best in the canal boating world with a great family day out alongside the Grand Union Canal Leicester Line, and a terrific opportunity to celebrate and enjoy our cherished inland waterways and all that they offer.

Over 250 exhibitors

“Over 250 exhibitors will be present with up to 50 brand new canal boats for visitors to inspect – the perfect opportunity for aspiring boat owners to see wide choice of styles in a single place. Every element of boating businesses will be represented, from holiday hire companies to boat brokers offering used boats for sale, to engine manufacturers and every conceivable piece of boating equipment. Many general stalls will also be exhibiting, including large food and craft marquees offering their specialised wares.”

Crick Boat Show 2014 will be open from 10am till 6pm every day except Monday 26 May, when it closes at 5pm. For more information visit www.crickboatshow.com, call 01283 742962 or visit the Facebook page www.facebook.com/crickboatshow. Tickets to the event will be for sale from 2 December 2013.
