Our brand new resources contain lesson plans, activities and games to help youngsters wise up on water safety from the classroom, so that they can enjoy the waterways safely.
Water safety is an important part of a child's education. At the Canal & River Trust, we help children to spot the hazards of being near water, so that they can enjoy the waterways safely when they visit. We offer free assemblies and outreach workshops to primary schools and groups, which are supported by our suite of PSHE curriculum linked learning resources.

The resources contain a range of activities including role play exercises, home made board games and problem solving activities. Children will learn to spot the hazards of being near water, how to react in an emergency and our SAFE message (Stay Away From the Edge).
