We are now able to lead face-to-face visits again in line with current COVID guidance. We are still offering virtual workshops too.

The Canal & River Trust is the charity who look after and bring to life 2,000 miles of waterways, because we believe that life is better by water. 'Explorers' is the Trust's education programme aimed at children aged 5-11. We inspire children's learning by connecting them to our canals and rivers

Our Education Volunteers lead inspiring visits to key waterside destinations across the UK as well as in-school visits, all of which are FREE. We also offer learning at our museums and attractions. 24 of our sites have been awarded the Quality Badge for Learning Outside the Classroom. All activities are linked to the national curriculum and are highly regarded by teachers. We work with home educator groups too.

"Sparrows learned so much in such a short space of time about the rivers and canals in their town - 200 years of history in 60 minutes!! Thanks, again, for bringing our topic to life."
