After further attempts Canal & River Trust staff working with the contractor have managed to clear an obstruction in the lock sluice.
Canal & River Trust are pleased to announce that the lock is now fully operational.

Attempts to rectify the fault have been unsuccessful. Dive contractors will required to undertake the repairs. This is now in hand will be arranged as soon as possible.
In the meantime CRT Lock Keepers will man the lock at the revised times detailed below.
08:00hrs to 10:00hrs & 14:00hrs to 16:00hrs daily.
Description
Due to a fault at Bulholme Lock, self-operation is not presently available. Canal & River Trust have made emergency arrangements for a lock keeper to be present at the following times.
09:00hrs to 11:00hrs & 14:00hrs to 17:00hrs daily.
Skippers are asked to plan lock passage at the above times.
