Trent & Mersey Canal, Lock 43

A restriction is required at lock 43 to facilitate a paddle repair, our local team will be carrying out a repair to the paddle mechanism, our team will be carrying out the work from 6am and we anticipate the repair to be completed and the canal open at 10am.

Boats are required to wait above and below the lock while this work is being carried out. 

Sustaining a working 200 year old canal system occasionally required unplanned maintenance work.  Please bear with us, we will try and keep disruption to a minimum.
