Daily passage time for Pollington Lock and Sykehouse Lock

With effect from 21st August bookings will not be required for passage through Pollington & Sykehouse locks.

For passage during May bank holiday weekends, passage must be booked by close of business on Friday, eg:

Passage on Monday 3rd May, Tuesday 4th May - booking to be made by Friday 30 April.

Passage on Monday 31 May, Tuesday 1st June - booking to be made by Friday 28 May.

From the 12th April, we shall be permitting a once a day access through Pollington Lock and Sykehouse Lock at 10am daily to allow boats to transit between Pollington Lock to Sykehouse Lock and vice versa. You will have a 2 hour maximum transit time to reach other lock no later than 12noon where all craft transiting will be locked out together.

e.g. Pollington to Sykehouse: book into Pollington for 10am lockage and arrive Sykehouse no later than 12noon to be locked out of section.  Sykehouse to Pollington: book into Sykehouse for 10am lockage and arrive Pollington no later than 12noon to be locked out of section. 

Mooring and overnight staying along sections between Pollington and Sykehouse Locks is not currently
permitted.

Boaters wishing to book passage through Pollington Lock or Sykehouse Lock will need to give 48 hour notice by calling 0303 0404040, Mon to Fri 9am - 5pm.  Please be ready to share following details - boat name, boat owner name, boat skipper name and mobile number for skipper on day.
