We are pleased to advise the repair to Lock 51 on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal has been successful. The scaffolding has been removed from site and navigation has resumed on the Barrowford Flight.

Our construction team are setting up site with our scaffolding contractors and will be in a position to commence the repair works at Lock 51 on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal tomorrow.
We anticipate works will be complete by Friday 17 July, with hope we can remove the scaffolding and resume navigation by the early evening.
An update will be provided Friday, 17 July.

Due to ongoing works within the North West, our construction team are booked to look at the issue at Lock 51 on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal Wednesday, 15 July.
An update will be provided following their site visit on Wednesday, 15 July.

Description
Please be advised navigation is closed between Lock 45 and Lock 51 on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal due to a problem with the cill at Lock 51.
Efforts to repair the cill have been made by our team today, however a repair was unsuccessful.
Investigations continue and an update will be provided tomorrow, Monday 13 July.
