A replacement balance beam has arrived at our workshop for Lock 52 on the Rochdale Canal. Our teams continue to plan the method of repair, including arranging cranage for the emergency works.
To ensure the safety of our customers, padlocks have been placed on Lock 51 and Lock 53.
An update will be provided by Friday, 19 June.

Description
Please be advised Lock 52 on the Rochdale Canal is closed to navigation following damage to the balance beam. Our engineers have been informed and are planning a repair.
