Description
Young People and Youth Workers are learning canoe and kayak skills in Goole – in preparation to the August launch of the Canoe Trail. The Desmond Family Canoe Trail is a Canal and River Trust project that goes 160 miles from Liverpool to Goole.
This Canoe session is for young people and youth workers to take part. There will be a maximum of 8 canoes and a maximum of 10 people paddling.
There will also be canal clearance and litter picking as part of #PlasticsChallenge
The Canoe instruction is by Carnegie Outdoors. Canoes will give courtesy to craft and other users.
The starting point wil be Goole Dock and the end point under the Railway Bridge and towards Rawcliffe
Bridge.
