Grand Union Canal Paddington Arm

Contractors will be undertaking lifting activities to install a new pedestrian and cycle bridge across the canal.

The third-party contractor will ensure that the navigation is open at all times, however it will be restricted in width. The minimum navigable width shall be 5m at all times, in order for 1 boat to pass by the works freely.

Signage and instructions from banksmen should be observed leading up to the restricted area, whilst lifting activities are undertaken.  

Boater and towpath traffic may be temporarily held for up to 30 mins within any 3 hour period.

Moorings are suspended along the towpath and off side banks, starting from the Blackhorse Bridge and going East for 200m along the canal. Boats are advised to moor outside of this area and away from the demarcated works zone on site.
