Railway Bridge 89a, Shropshire Union Canal

Third-party contractors will be onsite to complete further works to Railway Bridge 89a on the Shropshire Union Canal. To facilitate these works a temporary pontoon will be placed in the water and scaffolding will be installed on the towpath.

Whilst the canal and towpath will remain open, we politely request all customers to listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors onsite. Please approach the area with caution and canal users may be asked to wait whilst contractors move the pontoon out of the way of navigation, we anticipate this to be no longer than 15 minutes. Towpath users may be asked to wait to be escorted past the work area.
