Description

The Trust will be reinstating the towpath at Talybont Lift Bridge along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal to its original position through the mechanised lift bridge, as requested by local residents and stakeholders. In order to comply with safety standards we will also be installing gates, which lock on the line of the towpath when the bridge is in operation.

There will be a navigation closure to facilitate these works between 5th and 19th November and a road closure will be necessary between 12th and 16th November to allow for these works to be carried out. Pedestrian access will be available at the discretion of the onsite contractors, when they deem it safe to pass.

Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
