Contractors will be re-constructing the canal towpath and constructing a capping beam for a 40 metre length of sheet piled canal wall, as well as bank protection works between Bridges 20 and Bridge 21A.

The canal towpath along that section will be restricted, and pontoons will be provided for access to members of the public through the works.

The navigation will remain open, but boaters are advised to slow down through the works as pontoons will be present within the navigation channel. 

Mooring along the towpath will be suspended along that section for the duration of the works.
