The navigation will be closed between Cowley Lock (89) and Uxbridge Lock (88) from 7am to 4pm on the 17th October 2018.
This is to allow for contractors to calibrate the SCADA equipment (for real-time monitoring of water levels) next to Br 188 (Cowley Shovel/Iver Lane). In order to allow for the correct reading of the water level and flow, no boat movements will be permitted so that waves do not affect the calibration of the equipment.
Vehicles and equipment will be on the towpath and at access points, which may cause obstructions.
Please follow guidance from onsite operatives.
Description
The navigation will be restricted between Cowley Lock (89) and Uxbridge Lock (88) from 7am for 4 hrs on the morning of 17th October 2018.
This is to allow for contractors to calibrate the SCADA equipment next to Br 188 (Cowley Shovel/Iver Lane). No boat movement will be allowed during this time to stop any interference caused by fluctuation of the water levels affecting the calibration of the equipment.
