Please be aware, as a result of work on the Droitwich Barge Canal being completed ahead of schedule, the construction team has been able to move on to
Lock 11 Old Main Line earlier than originally planned. This has no effect on navigation as the Wolverhampton 21 flight is already currently closed for the gate replacement and other repair works at Lock 20 (please see separate notice). The end date of the navigation closure is not affected.

Description

Replace bottom gate and extend handrails. Repair quoins including kickers. Repair chamber brickwork, install approach bollards and improve lock ladder. Our Customer Service teams will be also be completing some smaller, below water, tasks on the surrounding locks that fall within this stoppage.
