Farmers Bridge Lock 6, Birmingham

Winvic Construction Ltd will be erecting a hoarding and scaffolding on the rear of the towpath adjacent to Lock 6 on the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal. The works are part of the Newhall Square development and are required to facilitate the construction works. Whilst the towpath will be narrowed slightly the use of the lock will not be affected.  Pedestrians and cyclist are asked to slow down and dismount upon approach and adhere to any instruction given by the contractors at the time. A slight delay may be expected during erection of the hoarding/scaffolding, but warning signs and banksmen will be in place to advise canal users.
