Bridge 38, Norbury Bridge, Norbury Junction, Shropshire Union Canal

Following the de-watering of the navigation at Bridge 38, we were able to get a clearer picture of the missing brickwork in the towpath washwall and the repairs needed.  This was not as extensive as originally envisaged and our contractors have been able to repair the wall in a shorter time than originally expected. 

The navigation has been kept out of water for a short time to allow the mortar to cure but we are now ready to re-water, remove the portable dams and re-open the navigation ahead of schedule.

Please be aware, therefore, the end date of this stoppage has been brought forward to Friday, 16th November.
