Linton Lock

We have been advised by the Contractor that due to adverse weather conditions these works will continue until 27th October.

Contractors will be on site to install a winding mechanism on the downstream lock gates at Linton Lock and to reinstate setts and carry out maintenance on the upstream towpath side gate quadrant.

There will be minimal disruption to customers but there may be delays of up to one hour during the works. If necessary Contractors staff will be on site to assist customers through the lock.

Please also be aware that there will be some small excavations around the downstream gate area so that concrete bases can be installed for the winding mechanism. These will be boarded over when the lock is open.   

Can Skippers of all craft please slow down when approaching the area and follow any instructions from staff on site.
