Description
Contractors Amey are working on behalf of Staffordshire County Council to improve The National Cycle Network 5 on the Trent & Mersey Canal around Stone.
They are investing £200k of the Councils capital programme into the works, and will be renewing the towpath surface between Bridge 94-95. The work will also include some minor bank protection works in the area.
These follow £500k of works undertaken previously from Medford to Barlaston. The overall aim is to eventually complete the section between Stone and Meaford to link Stoke to Stone.
Access will be maintained to the boat moorings along this length
