Explorers at the Olympic Park!
For the first time in over 40 years, boats will soon be able to travel from the Old River Lea to Waterworks River, thanks to restoration work currently taking place on the Bow Back Rivers in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

As part of this restoration programme, we have recruited five new education volunteers who will join two existing volunteers to lead on site sessions about the lock and the river, as well as visit local schools to deliver workshops all about the River Lea.
In September and October, local schools will be able to visit the lock during special workshops organised in partnership with the Field Studies Council.
