I am the river that flows through countryside, towns and cities.
Some days I’m calm, clear, babbling brooks, splashing into woodlands.
Sometimes I journey through towns and reflect the bright lights of the city.
There are times I completely let go and I find myself weightless, as I cascade into a crystal-clear waterfall, down mountains and valleys, powerful, strong and fresh.
I love reflecting the glimmers and sparkles of the sun, above my surface, below the sparkles I hold a whole world of life and take it with me wherever I go.
I love to see the young fox cubs play at my water’s edge, the dragonflies glide serenely along my surface and the otters weave through the reeds; creating bubbles of joy.
From time to time there are things in my path, a stray rock or boulder, but I keep going, I find a way through, I go under, over and around. I keep on my journey, ever flowing.
I smell the deep soft earth and sand as I wash against the banks, helping me to feel even more connected to nature.
I wonder if you know, just how much you and I are connected to each other?
The water that flows through me, has flowed through trees and flowers, it is the water that you drink, it is turned into clouds and raindrops, falling back into my waters connecting you, me and every single tree.
