Towpath Taskforce - Steele Road - Wednesday 20th July 2022

Details

Activities:

Starts: 20 July 2022

Closing Date: 20 July 2022

Steele Road, Park Royal, at the entrance of the canal

What's involved?

Kingston Space Property Ltd (KSP) have partnered with the Canal & River Trust to support this Towpath Taskforce by funding this canoe pick. Come join us in our Canal & River Trust canoes to help us clear litter from the canal and help improve the environmental conditions of the canal. No experience is necessary as we provide all the equipment including buoyancy aids. During the session, we will guide you on how to use the canoes, have a paddle along the canal and then collect litter from the water using the canoes.
We will run 2 sessions on the water so please book on to the morning or afternoon session. Refreshments will be provided.

We will meet at the end of Steele Road, Park Royal (entrance of the canal). The closest postcode is NW10 7AS. It is a 10 minute walk from Harlesden Station.

To secure your spot at this event, please register through this eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/towpath-taskforce-paddle-pick-park-royal-tickets-369042996537

Please ensure you complete all the questions when booking as this enables us to plan the session. This activity is for ages 18 and over only (we run other sessions for children and young people). Walk ins will not be accepted. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another person(s) a chance to take part.

What's in it for you?

The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

What skills are we looking for?

You do not need any specific clothing but we recommend that you wear old trainers/shoes and trousers that you don't mind getting wet. You must bring a spare change of clothes and a towel. Please do not wear wellies.
