Join us for a practical day next to Torksey Lock. Volunteers will help to enhance the area around the lockside, ensuring it is an attractive area for the local community and for the boaters who use the lock.
You will learn new skills, meet new people, keep fit, enjoy the country side and generally having a good time on and by the Fossdyke Navigation and the River Trent
We work on vital tasks such as planting hedgerows, tackling problem plants, replacing fencing, refurbishing bridges and towpaths, litter picking and generally making the waterways a more attractive place for everyone to visit.
What's in it for you?
It's a great way to meet other like-minded volunteers and get to hear about other volunteering opportunities if you fancy getting more involved. These sessions will be particuarly interesting to those who have a keen interest in gardening and maintenance or for anyone wiht an interest in helping the Trust to maintain and improve this historic lockside, so it can be enjoyed by the local community and boaters alike.
