Join us on Saturday 22nd February meeting at 10am at Jockey Bridge (55) NP4 8AA, for an enjoyable mornings work on the Monmouth and Brecon canal. We’ll be making our canal access points at Bridge 55 more welcoming by cutting back overgrown vegetation, clearing paths, collecting litter and generally tidying up. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there. You're welcome to join us and have your lunch and a chat when we're done, we'll be finishing at 1.30pm.
Meet us at 10am at Jockey Bridge, Usk Road on the towing path. Parking is limited at the Bridge so you may wish to park on Sunlea Crescent or nearby and walk to the Bridge. We will have buscuits at the ready.
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
Towpath Taskforce (Torfaen) at Jockey Bridge is one of a series of taster sessions we are running on the Mon and Brec canal in the Torfaen area. If you can't make this one keep a look out for the other sessions to be posted soon.
