Join us on Wednesday 5 February between 10am and 3.30pm at Harlow for an enjoyable day’s work on the beautiful River Stort. We'll be Clearing trees and bushes around the Lock as well as removing moss from structures repair gate. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there. You're welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
Meet us by Burnt Mill Lock, off Burnt Mill Lane, CM20 2PS. The nearest station is Harlow Town which is a 5-minute walk from the meeting point. We will be working approximately half a mile west of Burnt Mill Lock at Latton Lock.
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers) and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies.
