Join us on the weekend, starting on Saturday 18 January between 9.30am and 12pm in Gamston for an enjoyable mornings work along the beautiful Grantham Canal. Tasks will vary and change with the seasons and could include painting, vegetation management, planting, towpath repair, wildlife habitat improvements, litter picking and much more. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments.

Benefits

The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

Skills required

No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket or Warm clothes) and sturdy soled footwear ideally work boots, walking boots or wellies.
