Join us on Satruday 4 August between 10am and 3.30pm for a satisfying days work ay Hayes on the beautiful Grand Union Canal. We'll helping to make the towpath more welcoming to visitors ahead of the Hayes Festival, cutting back vergrown vegetation and collecting litter. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there.
Meet us at 10am on the towpath by Station Road Bridge, Hayes, UB3 4BG. The closest station is Hayes and Harlington which is a 5 minute walk from the meeting point. Event will run from 10am-3.30pm, join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is needed, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket or sun hat) and sturdy soled footwear ideally work boots, walking boots or wellies.
