Towpath Rangers are the eyes and ears of the local waterway, a friendly face who is happy engaging with towpath visitors including boaters, walkers and cyclists.
On your regular patrols along your towpath area; you can walk or cycle, whatever you prefer, you’ll get to spot any issues that we should be aware of – for example a towpath that needs patching, a noticeboard needing updating, or an overgrown access point. By talking to users, you will help us to tackle their priorities, and help the wider community engage with their local waterway.
We are particularly looking to recruit individuals to establish a positive relationship between anglers, dog walkers, casual walkers, boaters and cyclists etc.
This opportunity would suit someone with a few hours to spare each week, although you can dedicate more time if you choose to. We would welcome interest from couples as well as individuals.
