Join us on Saturday 10th March between 10am and 3.30pm at City Road Lock for a satisfying days work at this beautiful spot on the Regents Canal. We will be building a raised brick planting bed as well as tackling vegetation and litter to make the towpath a more welcoming place for visitors. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there.

You're welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!

Meet us on the towpath at City Road Lock, nearest access from Danbury Steet, N1 8JY. The nearest public transport is Angel Underground station which is a 10 minute away.


The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

Skills required

No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers) and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies.
