Harlow Mill, River Stort, Harlow
Join us on Saturday 21 October, 10am and 3.30pm at Harlow Mill Lock for an enjoyable day’s work on the beautiful River Stort. We’ll be completing the painting of the bridge and cutting back overgrown towpath vegetation. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. We will be delighted to see you there. You're welcome to join us for the morning or bring a packed lunch and stay all day!
Meet us by Harlow Mill Lock, by the Beefeater on A1184 Cambridge Road. The nearest station is Harlow Mill which is a 10-minute walk from the meeting point.
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers) and sturdy footwear ideally or wellies. If possible, please contact us to let us know you're planning to come – sign up below or ring 0303 040 4040 for more details.
