A volunteer group working along the entire length of the Caldon Canal. We will be doing tasks such as painting the lock and infrastructure, cutting back overgrown vegetation, dry stone walling, litter picking, path resurfacing and fencing among other jobs. This is a great opportunity to get outdoors, learn some new skills and meet likeminded people who also want to give some time to improve the waterways in their local area.
The group will run every Tuesday from 23/5/17
For more information and an informal chat about volunteering opportunities with Staffordshire please contact John Keaveny on 07484 913049 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Improve part of your local area that thousands of people use every day, meet likeminded people from your local area who also care about the canals, learn new skills while working.
Any skills you can bring to the group will be greatly appreicated and hopefully we can find a way to put these skills into practice. The most important thing to bring however is enthusiasm and a willingness to help.
