Jon Kenny Community Archaeology will be leading a dig at Canal Head as part of the Heritage Lottery Fund supported project ‘A Gem in the Landscape’. This will take place between 21st June and 4th July. We are looking for an enthusiastic team of volunteers who can commit to spending three or so days volunteering throughout the two week dig period.
This role in part of the Heritage Lottery Fund supported project, ‘A Gem in the Landscape’.


You will get training and supervision from Jon who is an experienced archaeologist. We’ll provide all the tools you need, so you just need enthusiasm! There will be some workshops taking place in advance of the dig, Geophysics on Sunday 7th May and a Pre-Dig Workshop on Sunday 11th June.

Skills required
